Lou Judge Honoured for Three Decades of Service to Kemptville District Soccer Club
January 6, 2020

After nearly 30 years of volunteering and working with the Kemptville District Soccer Club, Administrator Lou Judge has decided it’s time to slow down, sort of.

Lou began as the average parent engaged in community sport through coaching, managing, and endless hours in a vehicle between home and sports facilities.  At one point, the entire Judge Family was playing soccer and supporting the club in any way possible.  Often the club historian, Lou’s office is filled with posters from Women’s League banquets, newspaper clippings, and trophies from teams.   Fast forward a couple of decades and Lou became KDSC’s first Club Administrator responsible for registrations and member engagement, a position she left at the end of November 2019.

“I’ve always managed my kid’s teams and volunteered at the KDSC Fun Day since my oldest was 4.   I took over the Women’s House League Convenor role in 1998 and joined the board two years later as Treasurer.  I’ve held many of the Director positions”, said Lou.

KDSC President Mike Sutherland said “Lou has been a pillar for KDSC’s success for almost three decades.   She has held nearly every support position within the club and she is a wealth of knowledge about club operations.   We’ll miss her wealth of experience.”

In recognition of her significant contribution to her community and the club, KDSC has awarded Lou Judge a Lifetime Membership.   She joins a prestigious group of community builders and is the first female Lifetime Member for KDSC.   Lou plans on spending time with her grandchildren and working with her Physiotherapist daughter at Kemptville Physiotherapy Centre.
