KDSC Board Message - 2021 Registration Deadline June 16!

Dear KDSC Membership,

Our KDSC summer season will kick off the first Sunday post the Ontario government allowing outdoor sports to re-open, currently expected at either the end of June or early July.

As such, the final date for registration for the summer season will be on Wednesday, June 16th.  Although there may be changes, currently the provincial guidelines limit field attendance at fifty person bubbles, which includes spectators, players, coaches and referees.   Children and youth sessions will be capped at 44 participants given the requirement for coaches and/or referees.   Spectators will be requested to stay away from the fields.  U3 and U4 sessions will be capped at 24 participants given the requirements to have one parent on the field.    Adult leagues will be capped at 45 participants.  The number of participants per grouping will determine whether games are run as 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11.

For those who have registered but have not paid to date, final payments will be due by Wednesday, June 16th.

Thank you very much to those of you who have put your names forward to volunteer.  We can still use more volunteers in coach, field screening, sanitization, etc. to help run this unprecedented season.  Please send an e-mail to club@kemptvillesoccer.com if you are able to volunteer this season.

We require a Director of House Equipment this season as this Board role is currently gapped.  This is a very important role for our Club to help manage balls, uniforms, etc. for our House league teams.  The Director of Competitive Equipment can help provide support and guidance on the responsibilities of this role.  Please send an e-mail to club@kemptvillesoccer.com if interested.

This season will also require some extra-ordinary health and safety measure to be implemented.  Entrance to the soccer fields will be limited to the soccer entrance (as opposed to the baseball field entrance), staggered arrival and departure (and hence start times) will be required, a dedicated drop off zone with health screening will be implemented and a dedicated departure zone will be implemented with sanitization station.  Washrooms will be limited to those managed by the Municipality near the baseball diamonds.  A more detailed description of these measures and participant requirements will be shared as we get closer to the start of the season.

Thank you and we look forward to a great season,

KDSC Board of Directors
