Dear KDSC Membership,
As the 2021 summer season winds to a close the KDSC Board would like to say thank you to our Members. It was so nice to see everybody at the field after almost two years off.
We would like to thank the volunteers that week in and week out managed the enhanced measures that were required to run a season this year. We would like to thank our volunteer coaches that ran the sessions for our players. We would like to thank the ~25% of referees that returned and were at the field almost each and every night. We would like to thank our Club Head Coach and our Club Head Ref for supporting the development of both coaches and referees and we would like to thank our Club Manager for helping to manage the Club on a day to day basis.
As President of the Club I would like to personally thank each member of our short handed Board. This group of volunteers stayed beyond their volunteer terms by between 1 – 2 years, they organized a season in a two week span once the Return to Play protocols were set out by the Province, they were at eh field each week along with our volunteers and they each managed their respective portfolios and stepped in to help out where we were gapped. This season could not have taken place without their efforts.
Starting mid-Sept, the Club will be running a weekly co-ed session, with both an open division and an over-35 division. Please visit kemptvillesoccer.com for more details.
A note will be sent shortly to the children and youth groups regarding our upcoming Fall/Winter Indoor sessions with our Club Head Coach Marcus. These sessions are scheduled to begin after Thanksgiving. Should the season be cut short due to COVID restrictions then refunds would be issued based upon the pro-rated season.
In October we will be holding our Annual General Meeting, with details to follow closer to the date. This year more than any other, we will need new volunteers to join our Board so that we can run a successful season in 2022.
